Despite its beauty, the ravine has posed challenges for communication between the Marina Baixa and Marina Alta regions. In the 19th century, a bridge was constructed to connect the two areas. Today, this bridge stands as one of the main attractions along the route, and passing underneath it is sure to leave you speechless.
